Don’t websites cost thousands of dollars to build? Why do you offer it as a subscription?

Digital Indoorsmen provides a subscription service that takes care of your website design, hosting, security, and ongoing content updates – all for the same monthly fee.

Unlike traditional website design services, there’s no large upfront fee. Your website costs are billed month to month, instead of all at once at the start of your project.

While we know subscription plans aren’t for everyone, it can help even out costs over a period of time. You will have peace of mind knowing we will be here to support you and are as invested into your church’s growth and mission as you are.

What are the benefits of a subscription rather than going with a traditional development agency?

Because most churches generally work from annual budgets based on current and projected giving, it’s easier to allocate resources based on a monthly website plan than in the traditional model where there is a large (thousands of dollars) upfront cost.

Why wouldn’t I just go with Squarespace or another inexpensive hosting platform?

There are several DIY platforms out there such as WIX, Squarespace, GoDaddy, and even church-specific ones like Subsplash. And while it is cheaper per month, you are expected to design and manage the website all by yourself, long term. Our plans offer professional and modern designs, our church framework for content, and features specific for a church that will be much harder to get and maintain on those platforms.

How long is my subscription?

Each website plan requires a 24-month commitment. After 24 months, your contract is month-to-month.

What do you mean by unlimited updates?

If you have a page on your site that needs some wording tweaked, or you’ve modified something about how you operate as a church, let us know what needs to be changed and we’ll add it to the queue and get it modified for you. We won’t be nickel-and-diming you for small modifications like that. Just like security updates and ensuring things are running smoothly, it’s all included. This doesn’t mean we’ll be adding your sermons for you every week, but we’ll give you the tools to do that yourself, and we’ll coach you through it so everything works properly.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes and No. You can always upgrade to a higher plan, but you are unable to downgrade to a lower plan.
Note that upgrading to a higher plan resets the minimum subscription length.

Will I have control and access to the website after it’s launched?

Yes. We will provide administrator access to the website and training inline with the comfort level of your team.

My church already uses online giving, will you help us integrate it, or can you help us find a good online giving platform?

If your church already uses online giving using a Church CMS such as Planning Center, Breeze, CCB, or Realm, we can integrate that into the website at no additional cost to you. We’re big fans of Zeffy and Tith.ly so we’d be happy to set you up to use those as well.

How does the hosting and management work?

They work as a part of your monthly subscription. Once you website goes live, the hosting and management automatically start.
Regardless of which plan you have, you will get premium website hosting, backups, active security monitoring, software updates, content updates, and recommendations. The amount of time allocated for on-going development / content updates varies by plan.

Do you offer a mobile app for our church?

While we could design and build a mobile app for you, we believe that your church website is the most important digital tool you have. Mobile apps offer a complimentary experience to your church website and not a replacement for it. However, contact us if you have a great idea for a mobile church app.

Can you help us integrate our live stream?

If your church is already live stream capable, we can help set up and configure either the Church Online platform, offered for free by Life Church, or a livestream feed on your website via YouTube.

What if my website needs a full redesign?

That’s no problem. One of the great benefits of a website plan is you will never have to “buy” a new website again. If you’ve completed your 24-month payment plan, we’d be happy to do a refresh as you commit to an extended 24-months.
